Upcoming Litters

Our 2011 pups are expected in May, 2011. They will be ready to go home in July and ready to hunt in the fall of 2011. Reserve your pups now.

Our German wirehaired pointer, Chukar, is an 10-year-old male. He weighs 68 lbs. Chukar is a fourth generation Hunhaven dog and an outstanding bird dog.

Chukar has a great deal of desire and drive. He has an outstanding nose, often pointing birds from 50 to 100 yards. Chukar hunts wild birds 40 to 60 days a year. He and I hunt sharptail grouse, Huns, chukars, pheasants, and quail. Chukar also loves to hunt ducks and geese.

Chukar is our constant companion. He goes to the office with us and sleeps on our bed. He is an ideal family dog, with a curious and loving personality.

Camas is our 5-year-old female GWP. She showed us tremendous natural ability in her early months. During her first hunting season, starting when she was 16 weeks old, I shot over 30 sharptails, Huns, and pheasants over her points. All of her early training was on wild birds; she basically taught herself. Camas is now a finished gun dog and has hunted all of the western birds and waterfowl, including quail in Texas.

Camas also goes to the office with us and lives in the house. She is a very friendly dog and a great companion.

After thirty years of selective breeding, I believe that Chukar and Camas are our most outstanding dogs. We are looking to place their pups with people who want a quality bird dog who is also a member of the family.

We had an outstanding litter of six pups in 2009, and another outstanding litter of nine pups in 2010. We are repeating this breeding this spring, 2011.
